At the beginning of June this year, an inspiring charity event organized to uplift the dignity of children, especially girls, brought together an extraordinary blend of colors, purpose, and hope. The event, hosted by Beacon of Hearts, a dedicated local NGO and proudly supported by us as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, left a significant mark on the community.
Restoring Dignity with Essential Support
One of the crucial goals of the event was to provide essential personal hygiene products to school-going girls, including sanitary pads, soap, and other toiletries. In a region where access to menstrual hygiene products remains a challenge, the initiative aimed to restore the dignity of girls, ensuring they can attend school without interruption or embarrassment. We pave the way for more girls to stay in school and achieve their potential when we empower them.
Our CEO, Ms. Everyne Koiyan, who attended this transformative event, underscored the importance of investing in our children—especially girls’ future. She emphasized that a society that nurtures and respects the dignity of its young people is progressive and destined for a bright future.

Community members from across Bomet County came out in large numbers to support the initiative, turning the day into a vibrant celebration of unity and shared purpose. Schoolchildren danced, sang, and performed poems and skits centered around self-worth, respect, and community support themes, adding a powerful, heartwarming touch to the event.
Dignitaries and Special Guests Grace the Occasion
Among the key guests was the Honorable Governor of Trans Nzoia County, George Natembeya, who praised the collaboration between the private and nonprofit sectors. He noted, “We are proud to witness partnerships that create a tangible impact on our communities.” His presence underscored the significance of the event. He pledged ongoing support for youth initiatives throughout the region.
